Nola LOVES Halloween, and she became very worried in September if people celebrated Halloween here.  We were told by other residents in our compound that Halloween definitely happens, but she was skeptical until she started seeing decorations at the grocery store.  The Halloween celebrations started at school on Friday October 26, when students were allowed to wear costumes to school for Fancy Dress Friday 🙂  Then, we were invited to a party and Trick or Treating on Saturday October 27th at a nearby compound.  It was a beautiful night and the girls were able to go to many different houses for their first outing.  There was a scary Haunted House at this compound, but we avoided that one.  On Halloween Night, we had to quickly get on costumes after work/school and get out there!  There were a ton of kids out and the girls were able to run around with their friends and experience Halloween just like at home.  The main difference is the candy when we got home, not one Snickers bar or Peanut Butter cup to be found, much to my disappointment!
